Blown heater Core '90 80 non-Q

Ok, problem solved. When I removed the two fairly new hoses from the heater
core, the right hand "feed to the cylinder head" literally snapped off. So
if the core hadn't of blown, the pipe would have failed, sooner than later.
Fortunately both pipes going to the water pump and the cylinder head are at
the rear of the engine and a few inches apart. However, one is a larger
diameter than the other. The hose for the "feed to the cylinder head" fit
both outlet and inlet. Although the hose is not straight, with a few left
and right turns, I was able to get it to make an odd ball fit. The only
interference was with a bracket on the steering gear assy. I moved the hose
away from the bracket with a couple of cable ties and will watch the hose
for any abrasion in the future.

Again, thanks to all, where there's a will, there's a way.

BTW, just got back from Reno, NV. I went to the Auto Museum that hold some
of the great autos from Bill Harrah's collection. I was fortunate to see the
original collection, it was huge and filled a very large warehouse. Now the
collection is just a few choice vehicles, but not as nice as our Auto
Union - Audis.

Mahalo,

Al
