You can just use a spray glue like 3M 77. Spray both side and stick together. This is the way we build asbestos containment rooms. But make sure you use BLACK plastic. It will last 20 times longer than clear or white plastic.

Good call on this 6mil plastic, Greg…

I do want to take the car out a few times this winter (for ice racing) but protect it a bit from the element.

I do have a roll of that plastic here, 10 ft x 60 ft, so I will surely give it a try.

How can I “weld” or glue two strips of that plastic together ? Do you have an idea ?

put down 6mil black plastic. place car on the plastic. Throw some dry sacks (moisture absorbing sacks) in the car. Cover with simple cloth car cover. Cover car with 6mil black plastic, hold down with sand bags. Car will be good in the spring. Open one end of plastic cover. Throw in bug bomb. Take off plastic next day. I stored a car for 4 years this way.

Hi all,

I'll need a car cover for the Quattro for this winter, outside my home in a neighbor yard.

What do you recommend ? I want to protect it a bit, not preserve a perfect 100 point paintjob.
