Brake Pad Wear Warning Light

Hmmm, interesting. I guess it's not one of those lights that comes on when you start the car. I just checked. There is a

blank space in the top center of the gauge cluster. Just strange that it would not be in the OM. I guess this time, 'RTFM'
doesn't apply!

Your car should have the same light, all B6's I've worked on do. In fact, the one in the shop does. It's in the top of hte center display, shows a yellow circle with yellow "parenthesis" on either side.
