[urq] How to quiet an EFIed 20V?

I have a 20vt 4kq with a cone filter, and the noise is not unbearable, but I have stage II Motronic with the k24, not sure if that makes a difference or not.  I suspect so, but alternatives can be found in the local yards.  There are a lot of japanese v6 cars that use a panel filter that can be modified to work.  But first make sure that the cone filter is not water logged, as a water logged cone filter can make a lot of noise.

Otherwise it's RR airbox, or a dual cone setup to reduce the airflow through a single cone.

Hi everyone,

I drove today the 20V 034-EFIed urQ of my good friend Eric. While it is
indeed very fast, as in spinning the front tires on second gear, the intake
noise is way too loud. Each movement of the throttle that produce boost
produce also that dreaded intake noise. I mean, anything from the tiniest
acceleration to wide open throttle produce the noise. Only while cruising it
is bearable. 

The setup is a cone filter bolted directly to the turbo inlet where the
stock airbox was. I'm quite sure one can create a custom enclosure there to
encapsulate the cone filter, but is there another solution ? 

Any insight welcome.
