1985 Rabbit, Convertible?

There is no reason it should have power, it's only powered when the key is
on. I'd be looking for water in the fusebox, which will indicate a leaking
windshield. If it is a convertible, I know the later ones had glued in
windshields, which you can switch to. Much better than the gasket ones for
sealing.
