Unfaithful thoughts!

An experience I had some years ago convinced me that I will not own another MB, was when the dealership told me the passenger side window lift (450 SE) was stamped into the door. The only repair method was to unskin the door, re-weld it including body and paint work. That was the pinnacle of several almost unbelievable manufacturing approaches.
Superior German engineering indeed.
It was obvious I was a bother to them (at the dealership), so my old simple minded self won't bother them again.

I only have limited experience with MB lists, and so far mine have not been
early as pleasant as the information and knowledge on this list. That said,
may not be looking in the right place, perhaps someone on here has
xperience with a good list.
I will say this, I have some experience repairing them, and I am not a big
an. My experience has brought this point of view: The Europeans in general
ave one similar way they all do things. Then, there is Mercedes.
Take that as you wish,

A mate of mine is looking to out his '97 Mercyless CLK, a diesel one. I
quite fancy having it, could anyone point to a decent grown up resource to
learn more? I'm thinking there must be a community comparable to this one
for Mercs. Maybe some people on here have good BTDT too?

   Cheers Rob.
