Charlie's car was a fine example pre and post flood, and a fine 1 owner car until the flood. I spent a lot of time on the phone, in the car, at the track, and at the house of Charlie's tech Mike from Sewickly Audi back in the 10vt build years. The two of us consumed many beers discussing various mods, including a few napkin drawings and mock-ups, as we tried in vain to redesign the shift linkage to be short throw *and* short gate, figured out the former giving up on the latter. Charlie used to put the tires on the roof rack, and drive the machine to various Quattro Club track events. In 10vt turbo trim, it had a 'pre-RS2" Ned Ritchie turbo, and a bigger IC that was laid almost flat, with a fan on the IC itself. At Grattan in the mid 90's, I tore into the turbo plumbing to fix an air leak. Mike eventually moved from Audis to Locomotives (tired of tight engine bays?), and shortly after that, the RS2 work was done, including the floor pan to take the dual cats.
I remember kidding Charlie a few years ago at Mid-OH, driving his Rover with aluminum enclosed trailer for his porsche, that he came a long way since the days of cramming the urq full of spares, and balancing track tires on the roof.
Many of my best early urq stories and 10vt mod ideas rooted in that car, and many tech discussions with my old friend Ned Ritchie ensued because of it. AFAIK in 20vt trim, that car never had a Wagner manifold, it was a custom painted RS2 intake.

Charlie Day's Ur-Q....ah that brings back memories... The first ride I ever took
in one was with him, @ my first ever HPDE @ the QCUSA event @ Summit Point in
1993. Back then it was a 10V, and I remember it almost like it was yesterday.

No, it's not. That was Charlie Day's car, and it had a full RS2 engine
(intake and exhaust manifolds) plus he had the dual exhaust floor pan from
the Euro 20VT welded in when the car was restored.
If this car has a Wagner intake, it's probably not Charlie's.
