I bought a non-running '96 A6 Avant with a bad ECU and wiring (from a
windshield leak). Chris at Force 5 sold me a good ECU as well has the
connector with about a foot of wiring, that I could splice into the good
wires in the car. After about an hour of stripping and splicing and I
had a running car. That fix lasted as long as I owned the car, about 3
years.
Check with Chris to see if you can source you what you need.
