fuel pump replacement

Hi. I need to replace fuel pump on my '90 100 2.3. It has a newer
mounting without the 3 rubber bushings, and the big 60mm Bosch
without the inlet screen.
Now the problem is that only 2 types of pumps are available near me:
1. The bare 43mm pump (Pierburg 7.21651.50.0 and similar,
http://seekpart24.com/pierburg/fuel-pump-721651500?c=100717&at=9707) -
this one is suggested by various sources as a replacement for my mounting, but - only
with "spring pin" adapter (another unobtainium here). No damper
required.
2. The pump with plastic holder, 60mm? (Pierburg 7.21651.70.0 and
similar,
http://seekpart24.com/pierburg/fuel-pump-721651700?c=100717&at=9707) -
this one is supposed to fit older mountings, but it looks the same to
me, just inserted in adapter, and added (sort-of) screen. No info
about the damper.
Both of these pumps have the same characteristics. I've already tried
a used 60mm Bosch with screen, but I didn't like how it fitted into my
cradle (a bit too long). So I'm afraid that I'll have the same problem
with the #2 Pierburg. Also, the #2 is significantly cheaper - no
integrated damper?
Any suggestions? I prefer a drop-in solution, but I could try to look
for a 43mm mounting in junkyard. What models/engines had it?
