C5 A6 needs house training

I see this a lot down here in Houston. High humidity, combined with a lot
of AC running,

Pull the glovebox with the lower plastic falp that goes to the firewall.
Pull the right side kick panel trim. Pull the lower trim that runs along
the bottom of the door (scuff plate). Pull the carpet back from the front
of the center tunnel. On the firewall,/floor area, near the center console
you will see the drain. It is round on top, then turns into a tube that
goes down into a gromet on the floor. That gromet is what you want to blow
out with compressed air. I also like to run a little bleach in it, to
ensure all the mildew is gone.

To pull that part out, it's two or three 10mm nuts, IIRC. You will have to
be a bit forcefull with it to get it out of the gromet, then you can get
the top part off. Youwill see the foam on top, that's what seals it to the
box.

To dry the carpet(really the foam underneath), I like to put some 2X4's
under it to hole it up while running a fan pointed downward.
