NAC (no Audi content) but this is an interesting approach.
Automobile manufacturers are control freaks, everyone knows that. Control
the message, don't say too much, keep quiet in case of problems, never admit
a problem etc.
Infiniti, the smallest of the luxury makes, is facing a major naming change.
This could be a monumental risk to lose loyal customers. But the US
president took the bull by the horns, and posted this message.
A genuinely factual message, which explain the whys and the ifs and the
thens ...

Result ? No one will consider this change as a "last chance" move to survive
in this field. No one will wonder why they changed. And even the pros like
us will have to admit that this is a very good PR move.
I'm impressed. And I'm the guy whose job is to translate corporate messages
in something worth for reading...
