LOL, Dave, I feel the same way about Connecticut....! I spend a lot of time on I-95, the Merritt, I-91 and I-84, and I
hate the entire state! No offense..... ;-)

My experience was completely different in Ohio.
Drove a car back to Denver from Conn. and Ohio was by a factor of at least 10 the worst part of the trip.
The roads were _awful_, and police and fake radar every 5 miles. I have never in 50 years of driving seen anything like it.
I didn't get a ticket, so this is not sour grapes. I swore in the future I would drive additional mileage to avoid the whole state.
I still get pissed just thinking about it! I've never felt more like an intruder/outsider in my life!
With that many officers and speed traps what are they doing with the money from the fines? It obviously is _not_ going into road maintenance!
I'm absolutely _never_ traversing Ohio again (unless forced to). Bo Shembechler was right! When asked why he went for 2 while running up the score against Ohio Sate, he responded - " cause I couldn't go for 3!"
Just sayin'.

FWIW - Penn roads were like a black billiard table. Beautiful!!

I-70 is good through central OH, where I used to live... Near the I-71
nterchange, on Polaris Parkway, there are a lot of restaurants and shops.

Jay, I 70 really sucks through eastern Colorado and Kansas. 80 has a bit of
scenery, the North Plate River, low rolling hills, etc. 70 just flat, mind
numbing nothingness. From Denver, you do a diagonal run northeast to catch
it, then start heading east (76). Iowa City, Iowa is a cool, historic town.
A good place for lunch or to stop for the night.

I did the same trip in reverse, from NH to CO when I bought my S6.

Safe travels.
