" Hey guys:
I've noticed a one inch split in the drivers seat. Worn, I think, not
torn. Any of you have luck with any of those leather repair products. Otherwise
the interior is pristine (black)."
Dee, here is a pictorial write up on leather repair. There is no talk of
minor rips, but there is reference to a tape to close the rip. From there, I
suppose it is the same as a crack. Read the follow ups, one of the posters
seems to be a leather repair guy. He posts on some of the initial concerns
of longevity, largely "when you think you have done enough, do a little
more".
There is also mention of a color match service. Assuming there is a charge
for that,I expect the total cost of the "kit" would be about $100.00. A
used seat becomes an economic alternative, but where are you going to find
"good", 20 year old, matching upholstery? OTOH, I suppose "black" is
"black". My Volvo "black" is "charcoal".
