RE Audi 90 10 V fuel consumption

Sounds right to me.  Cheap and easy to check/fix.  Thermostat should be 
under $10, you'll need a 1/4" ratchet and extensions and 10 mm socket 
and perhaps a universal joint, and a quart or two of replacement coolant.
