PSA: Put an alternator belt in the trunk!

I was just leaving the mall in my white 5ktq with the family on board. Heard a clunk in the engine bay followed by a battery light. Of course it's raining and dark so every possible load is running. I pulled into a parking spot and shit down immediately so I could locate an open auto parts store without using any electricity. I had the better half calling stores while I recalled that the A/C belt is slightly bigger than the alternator belt but might work a bit. Went to the trunk to grab the adjustable wrench and a screwdriver and found, to my surprise, a spare alternator belt in the spare tire well. 5 minutes later we were on the way to the theater to see the Avengers movie.
