Can 20 year compressor overheat the 20V?

The Audi's have full size GM compressors originally designed for up the
wazu V8 torque and HP, only thing they changed was the pulley diameter.  
The GM system in the Audi's was the best available at the time,  Mercedes
and Rolls Royce also used them, no comparison to the anemic systems found
on lesser cars of the era.
