Can 20 year compressor overheat the 20V?

I do notice a difference with my car, it is definitely 'draggier' with the A/C on. I hardly notice anything with our Honda Odyssey minivan,
which has a 245-hp V6.

Sorry about the bottom issue :)
I don't want to argue too much on it, I just wanted to know if the drag I have is normal for 2.3 engine Audi.
The cars I've driven were Golf Mk3 1.6, 1st gen Almera 1.6 and 90-something Colt. I can't vouch on their cooling performance, but it was cold, and you could still overtake other cars without sweating.
P.S. I just realized that they all are one step younger than type 44's, but I believe compressor technology hasn't improved much.
