The 1.4t is the upgraded engine and delivers just about the same power as
the 1.8, but with a broader torque curve that peaks about 1.5k rpm lower.
 It's only paired to a 6 spd manual right now, unlike the 5 spd I have and
the autotragic that you can get with the 1.8.  I'd have loved to get that
engine, but everything about this car was the right price/time for me, and
if I want to upgrade to a 1.4t, I'll wait another year till the Sonic RS
comes out.
