Good and inexpensive Audi mechanic in PDX or Vancouver (WA)?

I'll third that. I used to wrench professionally, and customer supplied
parts (except in very limited circumstances) are a complete nightmare for
everyone involved.

The one exception is where you're working closely with a customer on a
larger project, such as a restoration, or major overhaul on an older car.
Then it can be handy to have the customer do some of the legwork to locate
scarce out of production parts, arrange delivery of parts and pieces to the
machine shop, body shop, etc. But even this only works when you're working
with someone who's very knowledgeable, and who you really know and trust.
