I'm on my third "trip to the moon" Audi... Got the 82 Coupe in the early
90s at about 146k and semi-retired it a few years back at 312k. The
black 90Q came in at about 180k, and succumbed to early bodywork failing
at about 293k and ten years.

The grey 90Q arrived with about 226k on a broken odometer (first swap in
from the black car was the instrument cluster to get a working odo). It
could easily be in the 300k range now for all I know. Just spent the
weekend doing the WP/TB, new used radiator, cam cover, oil pan, and oil
pump gaskets, and swapping in the H4/H1 lighting setup from the black car.

Next up: converting to power seats and swapping in the short shift
thing... luckily, I have a "manual" for most of this stuff in the form
of the documentation on my web site!

None of these cars' odometers last as long as the car, by the way.

An interesting side note is that, except for fuel and my labor, these
cars all cost me around $60-75/month to own.
