Non-URs TT stumble

Not sure where to go with this question, I'm part of the TT mailing list,
but don't see any activity.

My 02 TT, 1.8t at idle, will occasionally (once or twice and hour) stumble
for a split second. I can see the tach go down fractionally, then it
resolves itself. No other symptoms.

I replaced the head 6 months ago after the timing belt broke (Kudo's once
again to Audi Canada to paying $3,200 to reimburse all costs on a 9 year
old  engine with 153k km). I also just noticed that the coolant temperature
gauge is working sporadically and generates a DTC.

Could the two be related? No other codes generated. Coils were replaced on
the recall 5 years ago. Plugs were replaced during the engine rebuild.
