Audi A8 auto trans fluid question, again..

Unless you're planning on doing one of Tozo's manual swaps in the not
too distant future, I would stick with the Audi fluid. Even
factory-trained ZF tranny rebuilders say to only use that. They're
incredibly finicky transmissions and expensive as hell to replace. It
cost me almost $200 for Chris' crew at Force5 to to a trans service
(fluid, filter, flush), and my trans was like new. Definitely worth it
vs. spending 20-30x that for a new trans and install.
The Audi fluid is more expensive, but can be found on GAP
(www.germanautoparts.com) and IIRC either ECS or GAP has a full kit
including the filter. It's just a pain in the butt to do.
OTOH, if this is just a beater car and you have no intention of keeping
it very long, you can always use M1 or Amsoil.
