Hi Folks,

Thought I'd chime on brief test drive I took in a 2013 A6 2.0tq.  This was a loaner when I dropped off my daughter's A4 yesterday.

All I can say is that the 2.0t is an amazing engine.  Feels like it has gobs of power the way it moves this fairly large and heavy sedan.  Nice handling for such a large car.  Easily hits triple-digits and feels very stable at speed.  Very easy to think that you are driving a V6 although there is some vibration from the engine when you accelerate hard.  But very impressive indeed.  Feels like the A4 is a little quicker though.  Having said that, I didn't notice any turbo lag on the A6 as opposed to the A4.  When you floor the A4, there definitely is some lag, but not on the A6.

I let my buddy drive it and we both thought it was a V6 until we popped the hood.  Hard to believe that it was a four cylinder moving the car like that and also considering how large and heavy the car is along with the added weight of the quattro system.  Impressive piece of engineering.

Love the inside.  Plenty of room to put the seat back and the back seat passengers still have enough room.  Heated everything.  It's like you're in a starship with all those buttons and lights.  Waaaay too much luxury for me though.  I think I'll stick to my bashed up 'ole Dodge Caravan until my daughter will give me back my ride.
