2013 A6 2.0t

Well, Hayes, in French at Audi Canada, the 2.0T is still turbocharged ("suralimentation par turbocompresseur")

"Le moteur de 2,0 L TFSI utilise la technologie d'injection directe (FSI) et de la suralimentation par turbocompresseur pour assurer une accélération et une réponse impressionnantes grâce au réglage en continu de l'arbre à cames."

In English, they say "supercharging":

"The 2.0 litre TFSI engine combines FSI direct injection and supercharging to provide impressive acceleration and response through continuous camshaft adjustment."

They are right : supercharging is forced induction, all types. And you can supercharge an engine via a volumetric compressor, or a turbocompressor. Or a leaf blower...

So the 2.0T is turbo and the 3.0T is indeed supercharged by a mechanical compressor.

It was a pleasant surprise to see it.  Starts @ 52k in Canada +13% tax ughhh.  Still, in 5 years there should be some nice examples ready to roll.

The 2.0t in this model is supercharged and not turbocharged.  Perhaps explaining Mohammed's differing experience between the two engines.

I"m going to pull the trigger on an A6 with 3.2 next year or two... in a nicely used condition that allows for ease of purchase.
