Thanks to all those who offered advice.
Here's a write-up on how it went. (VIR)
Bottom line: Rotors did get to 560+ degF even after cool-down laps; so OEM pads would have become pretty soft. Caliper temp never went above 300 deg F; so OEM brake fluid would probably have been fine (but then again, why risk it?)
Soptech 309 pads did better than i would have guessed, as did the stock brakes.
Oddly, car handled better than i hoped; but the big V8 was not even competition to the various track-ready GT3s, 951s, Turbos, etc breathing down my tailpipe. They did hate giving the occasional pas though :-)
