Automatic Climate Conrol...Audi 100...1990

Hi, yes that’s it exactly, the blower motor does not shut off when you press 
the off button.  Rad fan all is ok, and problem isn't linked to temp of 
engine.

The thing is, its not like the "off" switch does nothing, and its got a bad 
contact.  Say you're running the air conditioning, its blowing through the 
front vents (and others), and you press the off button:
The a/c compressor correctly shuts off
Air stops blowing through the front vents
However you still hear the fan running on high...the flaps have redirected 
so its in another position coming from the defrost outlets by the 
windshield.

I think he was referring to the fan in the CC, not the engine cooling 
fan.... At least, that was my assumption...

Or, the fan is triggered by an engine overheat situation that is not linked
to the Climate control at all...
