That B5 chassis paper Bentley manual specifically excludes the S4 model.
It's useful if you're doing a "common" service procedure like struts, wheel
bearings, door lock work, heater core, or something else that's the same as
an A4. But, if you're looking for engine/trans specs+procedures, or
codes+diagnostics for the APB engine, you've only got the CD option.

I can't count the number of times we've needed a torque spec, or adjustment
spec, and had to leaf through a combination of A4/Passat/A6/Allroad books
around the shop to get the info needed.

I 2nd that. I've been looking for a paper B5 S4 manual for ages. It doesn't
exist. Not even Haynes or Chilton makes em either. 

If you can point me to a Bentley factory manual for one, I'd buy it today.
