No, Autolectra is not out of business. I was there last week, and they are doing well. Their core business are the shops, hence the numerous people you see. You and me, walk-in customers, are about 5 or 10% or their business. 

Don't worry for them, they'll be there for longer than you'll own that car... :-)

Saturday morning staff is usually younger and less experimented. That's why you got that answer. The proof is right here, in my own personal parts store : I bought 5x 5-liters bottles of antifreeze earlier this fall, 3 of the blue stuff and 2 of the pink stuff. They carry Pentosin or Hepu branded antifreeze, both made in Germany.

Blue stuff : P999-005, HEPU, 5 liter bottle
Pink stuff : P999-G12-005, HEPU, 5 liter bottle.

Anyone know a good source?

There was a great shop in Montreal, AutoElectra.  Been going for years.  Always wondered how they managed to keep open, with such low prices, and not that many customers (and lots of staff).  Guess I don’t need to wonder anymore.  Called there this morning to get some G12++ / equivalent and the number had been disconnected.  I guess they’re out of business?
