I misread you post on the solution, yes that works. I prefer to have as
little wiring running as possible, so that's one of the reasons why I bend
the pin over. Some customers want a plug and play setup so they can remove
it if needed (can't imaging why) and their check relays left alone. In that
case, two relays are used, and the autocheck system sees each relay as
equal, thus no autocheck headlight errors. Very relaible and good system,
but overkill and unnecessary IMO.

The autocheck relay is behind the storage bin on teh drivers side, in the
relay panel. I believe it's pin K that gets bent over. It's under the
plastic cover on the drivers floor of the V8 Quattro's

I drive mine for now, as it's practical and does everything I need.
However, I suspect it will be replaced within the next sis months or so, as
the A/C died and it's not AWD.
