2006 Audi A6 - strange brake light problem.

That's the only thing i can think of.  I believe its a hydraulic pressure switch, and it must be actibg up in the cold..... but why?

brake fluid contracts in the cold, so that's not it.  Unless its water-logged and freezing..... You do change/flush your brake fluid every 2-3 years, right?
