I thought of that, but the wire seems fairly heavy gauge for speakers. I  
was thinking a blower motor.
 
Huw, thank you for identifying the wires. The ignition switch checks out as 
 OK. So, now  I need to find the junction of the red/black wire to the red  
solenoid exciter wire.
