Do not go for a cvt  auto car.  I don't know if the 06 falls under that
model/generation, but the a4 cabriolet was offered with a cvt that's was an
absolute nightmare.  Aside from that, manual/quattro/v6 combos are stout.

As well, my good friend drives an a4 of similar vintage, hardtop, and he is
6 3". And loves the car.
