Midas dealer probably won't be happy - "Why didn't you buy them from us?" or "We don't install other
people's parts". Locally, the chain shops use a lot of cutting torches to R&R exhaust parts, and the
welds rust quickly. I'd avoid the mass-market joints - you don't get your oil changed at the local
quicky-lube because you know they'll screw it up, mufflers are the same way. Sounds easy, but as
soon as they get in, they discover they're WAY over their heads and you get to pay . . .
Go with the godson, this is hardly rocket science, it mostly takes someone who gives a darn, and the
additional fact that he has to answer to you will make sure he does a good job ;-)
