New (Old) "Audi"

Hi All,

Well, bought another "Audi".  Actually, it's an 02 Passat 1.8t wagon with 95k miles.  But really, it's an Audi to me.  It's like my old 97 A4 18tqa along with all the oil leaks, funky radio issues, and my deceased 99 A6 tip issues but  it's a blast to drive!  Having two less wheels to drive, the gas mileage is a little better and so is the acceleration.  Got it for $2600 and it had a clean Carfax and a service history.


Need to fix a couple of things.  Valve cover gasket for the oil leak and left front CV boot.  PO said that the TB had been done at 85k but I'm not so sure.  Will probably get a look at it when I do the valve cover.  Had an A/C issue.  Took it to shop and they said the belt was not on.  New belt later, and all seems to be good.


Was leaning towards a Volvo S70/850 but after having driven a couple, they just didn't seem to drive like the VAG products.
