1990 V8 ignition lock

I replaced the ignition lock and switch in the 1990 V8q and the steering
wheel lock no longer locks.

What did I do wrong?

I love having the dash and glove compartment off. It's so easy to do stuff.
I replaced the vacuum hose to the air flap diaphram. Only 84 cents and two
hours of straining, bending, and a little bit of blood, but the a/c works so
much better now.

I also fixed the flap spring. I have in the past used coat hanger wire bent
into the shape of an M to connect the spring on the upper end when the
plastic post wears through in the middle. This time I found a picture hanger
bracket that was nearly the perfect shape. A little custom bending of it and
viola.

Haven't driven the 1990 for a while and really like it's crisper throttle
response compared to the 93. Gotta change the thermostat so it warms up to
the middle of the gauge and hopefully the mileage will improve, though the
90 is the best of the bunch in my fleet.

Also, now the wipers don't work. I'm sure it's something with the combo
switch. I still have the airbag off so that shouldn't be too big a deal
(knock on wood). I already checked the fuse. The washers work, just no wipey
action.
