1990 V8 ignition lock

I did find that the ignition lock tab did not fit into the switch smoothly
and would not slide in/out of the switch which prevented the lock cylinder
from popping back out and I think kept me from removing the key altogether.
I did file the tab down a bit until it fit just loosely enough to allow the
lock cylinder to pop out. Still, I don't get the loud click and the
steering wheel won't lock when turned. Weird.

Hmm, did you make sure the pin was going in on the new assembly? I've
actually had one brand new one that would stick pretty badly, thankfully I
checked it before installation. I filed it just a bit, and installed, no
issues afterward.

I replaced the ignition lock and switch in the 1990 V8q and the steering

What did I do wrong?
