As some of you will recall, my '91 100q would not start after 5 injectors were
replaced. During this I also used the starter to move the car about 20 feet.
I had the car towed to my mechanic today and he states that the engine has no
compression and that he needs to take the top of the engine off.
The starter turns the engine, accesory belts and the timing belt (TB teeth are
intact).
The car started and ran fine before the injector replacement. The engine was
solid and I am having difficulty undertstanding how there was a mechanical
breakdown.
What could I have messed up in the engine by replacing the injectors and what
else can I check?
Any ideas would be appreciated. I hate to end the life of this car at 210k
miles.
Thank you!
