Electrical Gremlin

My 95.5 S6 has been a model of reliability with accessories for the last 17
years, until...

Three, seemingly unrelated issues at once;

1) Horn quit working - could hear the relay working so I checked the fuse
and it was blown. 8 years ago I replaced one of the two standard horns with
an aftermarket air horn, now only the original single horn is working

2) Windows - upon starting the car no window will operate, then after  a 5
to 15 minute drive they start working again. Thought wiring was the likely
cause so last week I pulled the accordion rubber between the frame and the
driver's door and found 2 broken wires. Several more are showing wear from
the constant bending. Even with the 2 broken wires, the windows would not
work, then work again. Today I repaired the two broken wires and the
windows are still working intermittently.

3) A/C- control panel will often not allow a temperature change, or a fan
speed change as if the panel is frozen. Compressor will often not respond
on or off so when needing defrost I turn the whole system off with the fan
button, then restart with Auto and the compressor and A/C works fine.
Sometime the control panel works perfectly. I pulled a code using Ross-Tech
of:
01271 - Positioning Motor for Positioning Flap (V68)
   41-10  -  Blocked or No Voltage - Intermittent

I'm too old to start believing in Gremlins, so please tell me where the
logic link may be or how to diagnose the unrelated root cause(s).
