Whaleback Mountain was a little local ski area that was accessible and
affordable and put winter sports into the reach of normal people in the
Upper Valley of NH.  Unfortunately, at the end of this past season, the
mountain went bankrupt and I started a group that's gotten some significant
attention here to save the mountain and re-open it as a non-profit.  We
have a long way to go, but this little mountain is worth fighting for!
