UrS6 rear upper control arm - a few questions?

I can't speak for the older cars, but on B5/C5 and later cars pretty much anything except OEM is an issue, and fails substantially sooner.
OEM means VW/Audi or their true OEM suppliers, TRW and Lemforderer.
Some people claim the new Meyle HD are good, but there really are not sufficient long term statistics to support that yet, IMO.
Whatever you do, make sure you torque the nuts at nominal ride height or nothing will last. If you pre-stress the rubber, its done for.
