Hose specs, brake/steering fluid reservoir

Gotta friend's 5KQ in the driveway, and it looks like he needs to 
replace the hose to/from the bottom of the power steering reservoir.  
Clamps on both ends, goes to/from the return fitting on the "bomb.  
Before I disable the car and get liquid gold all over the place, it 
would be nice to have the replacement hose on hand.  A search of the web 
yields nothing, and I can't log into Vagcat (locked out for weeks, won't 
reset, wassup with that?).  I can get bulk oil/heat safe hose, but I 
don't have the size ...................
