Flywheel is center of "window"
I put white paint on mine.
Pictures on quattro 123.com

Keep in mind you can 180 off.
There are three ways to do it.
Dist
Flywheel on trans housing
V on front engine crank pulley
or
Wooden dowl in cyl 1 spark plug hole
