No, it wasn't like that. The window went out only in the last month,
and I didn't think it needed to be fixed right away. My practice when
having a car aligned has always been to drop the car off, go about my
business, and pick it up later. So I haven't watched anyone actually
aligning a car, and I just didn't know that they'd need to open the
window. Ignorance on my part. In hindsight, I am NOT blaming the
alignment shop for opening the window or for failing to read my mind.
Of course, in hindsight I would have gotten the window fixed before
the alignment. If I had let the window go unfixed for months, then
you'd have a point.
My garage informs me that one of the newly installed suspension links
broke. They'll be replacing it and getting the car re-aligned at no
charge to me. IMO if there's anyone to be annoyed with, it's the mfr
of the piece that broke. So I'm feeling a bit better about it.
I'm thinking in terms of replacing the 4kq, but I plan to take my
time, do my research, all that good stuff.
