The only issue I've had with Spec in about 4 clutches and 10 flywheels is the Stage 3 disc in our S3 race car squealed really really loudly during engagement. Think cold race brakes, but twice as loud. Loading on to the trailer was horrible. It was bad enough that we went through the effort to change it to a South Bend after 6 months or so. Oh, also their aluminum flywheels also don't have steel sleeves in the bolt holes so you can only install them a few times before the holes are destroyed.
At work we typically use Sachs Motorsport or South Bend clutches. APR clutches are all South Bend. I've never been disappointed by them.
The Kennedy disc I have would be less than $100 though, and there's been a few votes ;-).

I switched to SouthBend, and have been totally satisfied. Others may have different experiences, but that was mine.

I accidentally ordered the wrong one for my car and rather than pay return shipping that's 1/4 the cost of the part I prefer to sell it. It's an unsprung 6-puck type. They are a bit extreme, but I daily drove my last one for 4 years and personally don't think it's hard to use or anything. Engagement is touchy; the difference between clutched and declutched is about an inch of pedal movement. If you try to slip if too much it will chatter, but I found that after a week or two I learned how to drive with it with no chatter or anything. It held all of the power of my 5000tq on a stock 200 20vT flywheel and pressure plate until I got oil on it which is why I ordered the replacement.

I have the bentley manual and there isnt much info that I could find on the electrics or testing of the 12v portion of the system. As it sits now, I have all of the locks working with the key and door plungers. I have tested the vacuum motor in the trunk and it seems to work fine. There is a fuse in the fuse panel under the hood, that is fine. The actuator rod is attached to the vac plunger inside the drivers door, and does go up and down when locking the door with the key. I have breifly inspected the wires going thru the door seal between the drivers door and body of the car. I need to inspect that area a bit further though. It seems to be something electronic from my best guess. Any thoughts or ideas would be great! TIA
