Does your climate control/ AC work as it should? Does the compressor cycle
on/off more often than it should? How's the refrigerant? Charged lately?

On again, off again there's a rapid clicking sound heard in the car from
the front. On investigation with a stethoscope the sound originates from a
relay marked "214" in the fuse panel under the windshield in the engine
compartement. The panel lid says this A/C control and there are two
identical relays. When I remove the one that is clicking, sound goes away
and car keeps running. Thinking it was the relay itself, I swapped the
noisy one with the other one. The second one would click, just like the
first. Two faulty relays?
Suggestions appreciated.

More likely a wiring issue.
