Audi 4000 Quattro windows

Thanks so much for the advice about the fuse. The one they had at the auto
parts store ran two volts higher and I do not think it is a good idea to
put that in. So I might still replace the fuse. The culprit, as Huw
suggested seems to have been some of the old power window switches.
Because, the wire and old switch were actually getting warm, I disconnected
the old switches. Now the window with the newer switch continues to work.
So I am hoping that replacing at least two of the other switches with new
ones will allow them to work continually without warming up. So hopefully
that problem is solved.

I think using some plastic spacers has mostly resolved my excess throttle
cable so that is good. Tomorrow I will drive it for a while and know for
sure. Thanks for all the good advice.

David
