Sold my last 5000 CS Turbo Quattro years ago when I couldn't come up with a decent turbodiesel swap.. But continued to lurk.
Flash forward after years of Mercedes and VW diesels, TDs and TDIs and I ran across an 83 Coupe GT that was too clean, rust free, well maintained and cheap to pass.
Needs side trim (any leads?) and some minor fixes to be a daily driver.
>From my research, it appears that the Audi 4000 1.6 TD w / 5-speed would be a bolt in.
But I still want a Quattro..
Can anyone confirm if the FWD 5 speed diesel transmission case (and gears) can be "combined" with the 4000 Quattro case?
Next step would be the 1.9 TDI swap.
But I digress..
I don't have the 4000 Bentley yet, and need to know the location and cold/hot specs of the coolant Temp sensor that controls the Cold Start Injector.
Any help would be appreciated.
