Door card foam

So you glued the foam to the door card first and then glued the vinyl to the foam?

I used 3mm foam fixed with 3M spray mount to the door card and cover (mine was a mixture of vinyl and cloth) then impact adhesive to fix the cover to the edges and back of the door card.
