If it helps. I'm assuming you mean the outer ones?  I took four handles off an 1986 audi 200 which is the same as your 5000. I used two of them on my ur Quattro turbo which is same as your 4000 with no problem at all. The only difference I could see was the metal insert was black on the 200 and bare metal on the ur Quattro. 
Mk2 Golf handles fit a 4k perfectly

If not the inner ones are totally different . Hope that helps
