Definitely not a DeTomaso. Some unknown, very small builder, open two seat roadster. I think the 
engine was a 383 Chrysler, a number of European custom builders were using them. Facel Vega was one, 
and a car I saw at a London expo labeled "V-6". It was a V-8, and after the museum droid snottily 
advised me it was a V-6 (Dumb Yank! What do THEY know about fine British cars?), I invited him to 
come over and count the spark plug wires. His attitude changed markedly when he got to six and found 
two more ;-)

This was quite primitive, not the work of any mainstream coachbuilder.

(And "fine British cars" is the best oxymoron I've heard in some time.)
